The Florence County Library System offers public meeting rooms for use by community groups and organizations with educational, civic, charitable, or cultural aims.
These rooms are a valuable resource for the community, providing spaces for various activities. However, their use is subject to specific policies to ensure fair access and maintain a proper library environment.
Groups wishing to utilize these facilities must submit a completed application form, and any applicable fees based upon location. Fees are refunded if the room is left in good condition. While light refreshments are permitted, alcoholic beverages and tobacco products are strictly prohibited. The library prioritizes its own programming and events, and the use of meeting rooms by external groups does not imply endorsement of their purpose or activities by the library system. It's important to note that meeting rooms cannot be used for political rallies, social events, or for advertising, selling, or soliciting products and services. For individuals or small groups seeking quieter spaces, study rooms are also available at the Florence and Lake City locations, often on a walk-in basis.
Please read our Meeting & Study Rooms Policy for more information.
