United Way of Florence County Day of Caring

In honor of United Way of Florence County’s Day of Caring, we're asking for your help to support the CARE House of the Pee Dee. From September 2 through September 19, 2025, during regular library hours, we’re collecting essential office supplies to help this incredible organization focus on what truly matters—caring for children and families healing from the pain of abuse and neglect. You can make a difference by donating these requested items:

  • Reams of white copy paper

  • Rolls of stamps

  • Yellow and white legal pads

  • Manila fastener folders

  • Pocket folders

You can drop off your donations at the main Florence County Library or any of our branches in Pamplico, Timmonsville, Johnsonville, Olanta, or Lake City. By re-stocking the administrative items the CARE House utilizes the most, these donations will help ensure
that the vast majority of their resources continue to go toward directly serving child abuse victims throughout the Pee Dee.

For large-scale donations, please reach out to Mikaela Preteroti at mpreteroti@florencelibrary.org or call (843) 662-8424 ext 6507.

The CARE House is a non-profit Children's Advocacy Center, where children and families can go following reports of abuse and neglect for quality forensic, therapeutic, and advocacy services. Your generosity will help keep their mission strong.

Together, we can show the CARE House and the families they serve that our community stands with them.
