Seed Library

Imagine growing your own vibrant garden, and it all starts at the library!

Our seed library is now open to the public at the reference desk on the second floor. You can browse through our binder, filled with images of the plants and growing instructions, and choose up to 3 seed packs to take for free. You'll sign a quick form, and can take a picture of the growing instructions - or we can make a copy for you.

The seed library is available from February 1st to November 1st, and we plan to change out the seeds seasonally.

We also welcome your seed donations, as long as they are in commercially sold, sealed envelopes.

The best part? We're a library, so you can browse our adult non-fiction section 635 to check out some books on gardening.

If you're an experienced gardener, we hope you'll find something new to nurture and grow, and if you're just a beginner, we hope this is the start of a fulfilling new hobby!

Florence County Public Library is located at 509 S. Dargan Street, Florence, SC  29506.
