Stukes Meeting Room

509 S. Dargan Street,

Florence, SC  29506

Come listen to the Honorable Lloyd Willcox as he embodies Brigadier General Francis Marion. He will recount the Swamp Fox's adventures during the American Revolution and his significance to the Florence area.

The Joe Stukes History series was the brainchild of Dr. Joseph Stukes, History Professor at FMU. He delighted in presenting programs in the persona of historical characters who caught his interest. For years, he performed his re-enactments at the Florence County Library as well as at local schools and churches.

The event is free to the public. To reserve your seat, send an email to dbutler@florencelibrary.org
