FREE TAX PREP IN JOHNSONVILLE
A representative from SC THRIVE (previously, Benefit Bank of SC) will be on hand to help prepare state and federal tax returns at our library on Tuesdays from 10:00 to 1:00 p.m. the last two weeks of January. Tuesday dates include: January 19 and January 26. The representative will be available from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on these aforementioned dates.
This free service is available to those with income of $65,000 or less. The representative is also available for those needing help with the Affordable Care Act sign up, SNAP eligibility, and FAFSA application aid. For an appointment, please call 843-386-2052 or stop by the library.
BOOK CLUB TO MEET IN JOHNSONVILLE
The Johnsonville Library Book Club will meet at the Johnsonville Public Library on January 25, 2016 at 10:30 am. Join us as we discuss The Light Between Oceans by M.L. Stedman. The incredibly moving story of Tom and Isabelle Sherbourne, a young couple faced with complex moral decisions and the consequences of misguided good intentions.
Refreshments will be provided. This program is FREE and sponsored by the Friends of the Johnsonville Public Library.

STORYTIME IN JOHNSONVILLE
The Johnsonville Public Library will host our monthly Family Storytime on Wednesday, January 27 at 9:10 a.m. This program is open to children ages 2-5 years and their parents or caretakers, and siblings.
Participants will practice rhymes, share stories, and participate in movement activities. November’s theme is Rhyming stories. The program is free and lasts about 45 minutes.

TEEN MOVIE IN JOHNSONVILLE
The Johnsonville Public Library is hosting our Teen Movie Night @ Your Library on Thursday, January 21 from 3:30 – 5:35 p.m.! What happens when the courageous “girl on fire” realizes that she’s become just another pawn in the rebellion her actions sparked? The story beyond the enigmatic strategies of both forces quickly spins out of control in part 1 of this stunning finale.
The movie is family-approved and rated PG-13. For those under the age of 13, parental permission forms are required. Please see the front desk for more information. The program is FREE and open to youth in grades 5 to 12. Snacks and drinks will be provided.

Nebula Teen Craft
For those who have ever wanted to bottle their own galaxy, the Johnsonville Public Library is hosting a very special Teen Thursday crafting event on Thursday, January 28 at 3:30 PM. We are providing all the materials necessary to bottle your own nebula! Create your own starry version of a galaxy being born with this unique craft!

The Johnsonville Public Library is kicking off our New Year with a grand family adventure!
