GREEN THUMBS WORKSHOP SERIES AT JOHNSONVILLE LIBRARY
The Green Thumbs Workshop Series is kicking off on Tuesday, March 18th, 2014 at the Johnsonville Public Library when Mr. Gary Arthurs of Southern Lawns and Landscapes will present the workshop: PRUNING HOW TO’s. Mr. Arthurs will demonstrate how to prune shrubs, trees, and flowers. He will also offer suggestions on ways to avoid pruning mishaps.

Being an avid community sponsor, Mr. Arthurs is also the owner, operator, and CEO of Southern Lawns and Landscapes located at 831 South Georgetown Highway, just outside of Johnsonville. He double majored in horticulture and agronomy at North Carolina State University.

The pruning program will be from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Johnsonville Public Library. This program is free and no registration is required. This event is sponsored by the Friends of the Johnsonville Public Library.

AMERICAN SIGN LANGUAGE WITH ANNIE CANNON
The Johnsonville Public Library is hosting American Sign Language classes Thursday evenings with instructor, Annie Cannon, March 13, 20, and 27 from 6:00—7:00 p.m. Beginning March 20, classes will also be offered in the morning from 10:00—11:00 a.m. No experience required. All levels are welcome to join.

All sessions are free and open to the public. Registration is required as class size is limited. Please call 843-386-2052 or come by the library to register.


FREE TAX PREP IN JOHNSONVILLE

A representative from The Benefit Bank of SC will be on hand to help prepare state and federal tax returns at our library on Thursdays during the month of March beginning March 13th from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Other dates include: March 20th, and March 27th. The representative will be available from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on these aforementioned dates.

This free service is available to those with income of $65,000 or less. The representative is also available for those needing help with the Affordable Care Act sign up, SNAP eligibility, and FAFSA application aid. For an appointment, please call 843-386-2052 or stop by the library.


JOHNSONVILLE COMPUTER WORKSHOP: EMAIL BASICS
The Johnsonville Public Library will conduct a FREE Computer EMAIL BASICS workshop on Thursday, March 20, 2014 from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. and on Monday, March 24, 2014 from 5:30 – 6:30 p.m.

Each session is a stand-alone class, and lasts approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour. Space is limited. Please call 843-386-2052 or come by the library to register.


ENCOURAGEMENT FOR LIFE’S JOURNEY WORKSHOP
On Monday, March 24 from 5:30—7:00 p.m. the Johnsonville Public Library will host the kick off to local Life Coach, Robin Lewis’ 6-week Workshop for Women entitled, Encouragement for Life’s Journey. Women of all ages are invited to come and learn various methods and techniques on crafting and accepting a more fulfilling life.

Robin L. Lewis is a certified Life Coach who owns and operates, Sozo Life & Leadership. For those interested in continuing the series, each session is $25 individually, or $99 for the remaining 5 weeks. Each of the remaining sessions will also be on consecutive Monday evenings from 5:30—7:00 p.m.

FAMILY MOVIE IN JOHNSONVILLE
We’re turning blue for this month’s Family Matinee at the Johnsonville Public Library! This program will take place Saturday, March 22 at 11:00 a.m. Popcorn and drinks will be provided.
